Metrobank Foundation, Inc. (MBFI) president, Aniceto M. Sobrepeña, was conferred the status of Accredited in Public Relations (APR) by the Public Relations Society of the Philippines (PRSP) in the recently concluded 30th National PR Congress. PRSP aims to professionalize the practice of public relations in the Philippines through this centerpiece program recognizing senior members who have achieved a high level of experience, competence, and has demonstrated faithful adherence to the Code of Ethics and Professional Standards in the practice of public relations. Sobrepeña holds an extensive record of accomplishment in government service, international diplomacy, organizational development, and corporate social responsibility.
Sobrepeña went through the meticulous process of PR folio evaluation, written exam with 95 (out of 100) points as passing rate, and an Accreditation Board panel interview.
Aside from this recognition, Sobrepeña, widely known as “Chito” has likewise been previously conferred the Career Executive Service Officer (CESO) Rank 1 by the Career Executive Service Board (1991), College of Fellows of the Philippine Institute of Environmental Planners (2017) and Eminent Fellow of the Philippine Public Safety College, Department of the Interior and Local Government (2020).
