Drug pusher yields shabu worth P2.1 M


ILOILO CITY – Suspected shabu worth at least P2.1 million was seized from a 24-year-old drug pusher in a buy-bust operation on Friday, September 1, in Carles, Iloilo.

Police identified the suspect as “JR” of Estancia, Iloilo.

JR, a high-value individual, was apprehended after he sold shabu to a police poseur-buyer. Approximately 315 grams of shabu valued at P2.1 million and a gun were seized from the suspect.

The Carles Municipal Police Station led by Police Major Rendora led the operation with the Iloilo Police Provincial Office (IPPO)-Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit (PDEU) led by Police Capt. Jorge Lelantud, Provincial Intelligence Unit led by Police Major Francis Albert Fortunado, and 2nd Iloilo Police Provincial Mobile Force Company led by Lt. Col. Colonel Abner Jordan.

“This accomplishment is a result of the collective effort of everyone involved in our mission to combat the spread of illegal drugs in the community. It is our responsibility to provide quality service to the people,” said Rendora.

Suspect faces charges for violating the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 and the election gun ban.
