The Korean-American CEO of Careless Entertainment, Jeffrey Oh, has been released on bail.
This was confirmed by Bureau of Immigration (BI) spokesperson Dana Sandoval.
Recall that the 34-year-old business partner of singer-actor James Reid was arrested by BI personnel last July 28 in Poblacion, Makati relating to him reportedly engaging in "gainful employment without the necessary work permit, in violation of Philippine immigration laws."
“A complaint lodged with the BI reported the American to have presented himself as the CEO of a Manila-based company, as well as the owner of several restaurants, without acquiring the necessary visas or permits. He will be facing a deportation charge and will remain in the BI’s facility in Bicutan, Taguig during the proceedings,” said Commissioner Norman Tansingco in a statement released by veteran showbiz scribe Cristy Fermin a few days ago.
Meanwhile, Dana said Jeffrey's deportation proceedings will continue.
James and Liza Soberano, among stars of Careless, are still silent about the issue.
