ACT-CIS Party-list Rep. Erwin Tulfo has described his first day on the job as congressman as "exciting", even as he acknowledged the need for him to continue learning.

"Syempre kailangan nating makinig dahil kumbaga sa school bagong pasok tayo (Of course we need to listen because we're the new kid in school, so to speak)," Tulfo said in a chance interview after attending the House session Monday morning, July 24.

"We have to learn the ropes, we have to listen carefully," said the former Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) secretary.

"Ang ginawa lang nila nag-adopt ng mga resolutions for the SONA later (All they did was adopt resolutions for the SONA later). Pero (But) it's quite exciting and there's really a lot to learn, so within the next few days siguro (maybe within the next few days)," Tulfo said.

Monday was Tulfo's first time to sit in plenary. His name was also included on the roll for the first time.

Monday also marked the start of the second regular session of the 19th Congress.

Earlier that morning, in a Facebook post, Tulfo revealed that he had been briefed by fellow ACT-CIS Rep. Edvic Yap, Benguet lone district Rep. Eric Yap, and former congressmanJeff Soriano before going to the plenary.

Tulfo is the third nominee of ACT-CIS Party-list.
