Police Capt. Christine Cerbo, officer-in-charge of the Women and Children Protection Desk (WCPD)-Bacolod, said the Women and Children Protection Center (WCPC)-Visayas Field Unit led the entrapment operation that resulted in the arrest of a 28-year-old woman and her 35-year-old live-in partner.

Cerbo said that police applied a search warrant to seize and examine computer data following information about the alleged sexual exploitation.

The search warrant was issued by Presiding Judge Fernand Castro of the Regional Trial Court Branch 41 here.

Cerbo said that a six-year-old boy, a nine-year-old girl, and fraternal twins aged two were rescued from their house and were brought to Balay Pasilungan at the Bacolod City Police Office (BCPO) pending the assessment of the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD).

She said the parents allegedly allowed some persons or foreigners online to bid for their children while they were naked.

Cerbo, however, did not reveal more details due to the sensitivity of the case.

Police recovered during the operation three cellular phones, unserviceable laptop, passport, and assorted identification (ID) cards.

Cerbo said the parents are detained at Police Station 6 and may face child trafficking charges.
