Operatives of the Manila Police District (MPD) are hunting down a man who allegedly fired a gun after a quarrel with his girlfriend inside a commercial and residential building in Ermita district at 10 a.m. on Monday, July 10.
Police identified the suspect as Lyle Adams Fernandez, 32, a resident of Pangasinan province.
Based on the investigation by the MPD- Special Weapon and Tactics (SWAT), the man fired two shots using an unidentified firearm, causing alarm and panic among residents in the area.
Police learned that the suspect fired a gun following an argument with his girlfriend.
MPD chief Brig. Gen. Andre Dizon said the police are now interviewing the suspect’s girlfriend to get further details of the incident.
The building, where the incident occurred, had already been cleared. No one was reported injured.
Dizon said the suspect will face charges for indiscriminate firing.
