The Ospital ng Parañaque (OsPar)-1, in celebration of its 45thanniversary and the 41st anniversary of Medici Omnes Duciens Fraternitas Et Cororitas, will perform free cataract and pterygium surgeries for city residents from July 4-5.
Mayor Eric Olivarez said the OsPar-1, under the supervision of medical director, Dr. Jefferson Pagsisihan, conducted pre-screening to more than 200 residents that need to undergo cataract and pterygium (removal of lesion from the surface of the eyes) surgeries.
OsPar-1 eye specialists will conduct the surgeries on 190 patients who passed the pre-screening conducted by the hospital.
Olivarez said OsPar-1 initially targeted to conduct 100 procedures but the Medici Omnes Duciens Fraternitas Et Sororitas added another 90
patients as part of its 41st anniversary.
The mayor thanked the Medici Omnes Duciens Fraternitas Et Sororitas led by Dr. Dominador B. Bermillo Jr. in coordinating with Pagsisihan for the conduct of the surgical mission.
