A day earlier, the temporary Paliwan Bridge that links  town of Bugasong and Laua-an also collapsed due to flash flood.

A big portion of the Paliwan Bridge collapsed during the onslaught of tropical cyclone "Paeng" last October.

In an online press conference on Thursday, Engr. Mark Anthony Alejo of the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH)-Antique said that they are waiting for water to subside to  reconstruct the temporary bridge.

Since Wednesday, the Antique Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office and the Philippine Coast Guard (PCG)-Antique deployed boats and personnel to assist people who have to cross  Bugasong and Laua-an.
