Converge ICT Solutions Inc. launched its fiber service in Boracay, Wednesday night, May 4.

The hospitality industry will be the biggest beneficiary of the company’s entry as the island meets the surge of local and international tourists after the pandemic restrictions were lifted and its seven-month closure for rehabilitation ended.

“We started to venture outside of Luzon two years ago so our entry into the country’s hottest tourist destinations is an achievement for us," says Co-Founder and CEO Dennis Anthony Uy.

Local government officials expect Converge's service will boost the island’s revenue and strengthen its status as a world-class travel destination.

Local residents, for their part, will have access to stable and affordable internet with Converge's flagship connectivity product, FiberX.

“We see Boracay beyond the lens of being a tourist destination.” Converge Marketing Head Orange Ramirez maintained.

“Local residents and small and medium enterprises within the island are just as important to us, so we are also offering the same wide range of reasonably priced products to them that our subscribers from other parts of the country already enjoy."
