CITY OF SAN FERNANDO, Pampanga -- Sixty-nine non-uniformed personnel (NUP) of Police Regional Office 3 (PRO3) took their oath of office at the PRO3 Patrol Hall, Camp Olivas here on Tuesday, May 2.

PRO3 director Brigadier General Jose S Hidalgo Jr administered the oath-taking of 69 NUP composed of 23 newly promoted, three newly transferred and 43 newly appointed civilian employees.

These non-uniformed personnel of the Philippine National Police will perform as computer operators, crime registrars and radio operators.

They will be assigned to the different police provincial offices (PPOs) and city/municipal police stations within Region 3.

The top official said the hiring of the 69 civilian employees will replace the police personnel assigned in stations performing administrative work who will then be deployed on the streets to increase police visibility.

The hiring of 69 non-uniformed personnel is also expected to boost anti-crime efforts in line with the directive of higher headquarters.

"The contribution made by our non-uniformed personnel is as vital as that of our men and women in uniform, this is why we need them and we know that we can count on them,” said BGen. Hidalgo in a message.
