According to Hanteo Chart, the album sold 280,650 copies on the first day of release on April 17 to top the daily physical album chart.
On April 18, “Perfume” sold 125,102 copies. In two days, “Perfume” garnered sales of 405,752 copies based on the Hanteo Chart.
The album has six songs including the title track “Perfume,” which sets the tone, opening with an acapella before a rubbery, electro-funk bassline kicks in. The seductive track conveys the desire to leave one’s scent on a lover.
The soaring chorus on “Kiss” highlights the group’s killer falsettos amid a dreamy mid-tempo R&B track while the lyrics in the groove-driven “Dive” use the metaphor of being deeply immersed in water to express the feeling of falling in love.

The sentimental ballad “안녕 (Ordinary)” is about expressing one’s true feelings towards the other that couldn’t be said in a casual mood.
Meanwhile, “후유증 (Can We Go Back)” is about wanting to revisit the past after one’s lover has left. NCT DoJaeJung first performed the song at NCT 127’s concert “Neo City: Seoul The Link.”
Doyoung, Jaehyun and Jungwoo are also members of NCT 127, which recently completed a world tour.
