Mayor Crescente Garcia here has tapped the police, Bureau of Fire Protection, Marines, village peace officers, and municipal employees to secure the visitors, maintain peace and order, and manage traffic during the Holy Week.
“With the increasing number of tourist arrivals in our town, one of our great responsibilities is to provide them with security and safety,” Garcia said.
“We also have the deployed tourist ambassadors who will guide and oversee our arriving visitors and tourists,” he added.
Garcia said the number of tourist arrivals here on Maundy Thursday and Good Friday is up more than 200 percent compared to last year.
“I am expecting more tourist arrivals in our town in the next few days as the ‘summer’ season will follow after the Holy Week,” Garcia said.
