Four residents were injured in a fire that gutted at least 30 houses at G. Araneta Avenue, Kitanlad Street, Barangay Tatalon, Quezon City on Friday, April 7.
The Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) identified the injured residents as Reyan Indito, 33; Randy Carillo, 55; Jamel Marchan, 33; and a 14-year-old girl.
Quezon City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (DRRMO) said the victims sustained lacerations, punctures, abrasions, and concussions.
According to BFP, the fire reached the first alarm at 12:27 p.m. and was raised to the second alarm at 12:38 p.m.
It was put under control at 1:27 p.m. and extinguished at 2:53 p.m.
Firefighters said most of the affected residents were informal settler families (ISFS) whose houses were made of light materials.
They said the fire caused property damage worth more or less P100,000.
Authorities are still investigating the origin of the blaze.
