Cavite 4th district Rep. Elpidio Barzaga Jr. has thanked local police operatives for quickly arresting a robbery-slay suspect who had a P1.1- million bounty on his head.

In a Facebook post Sunday, April 3, Barzaga shared to his followers that suspect Angelito Erlano alias "Kulet" has admitted to robbing and killing 24-year-old Dasmariñas resident Queen Leanne Daguinsin.

"Nadakip na ng Dasmariñas City Police force at Cavite Provincial Intelligence Unit ang suspek sa pagpatay sa estudyante (The Dasmariñas City Police force and Cavite Provincial Intelligence Unit have caught the suspect in the killing of the student)," wrote Barzaga.

"Nagbibigay-pugay ang pamahalaang lungsod ng Dasmariñas sa mabilis na pagkilos ng kapulisan sa pangunguna nina provincial director PCol Christopher Olazo at Dasmariñas Police Chief PLTCol Juan Oruga, Jr. para mabigyan ng hustisya ang pagkamatay ni Queen Leanne Daguinsin (The city government of Dasmariñas hails the quick action of our police led by provincial director PCol Christopher Olazo and Dasmariñas Police Chief PLTCol Juan Oruga, Jr., which gave justice to the killing of Queen Leanne Daguinsin)," he said.

Daguinsin, a computer science student, was found riddled with stab wounds inside her dormitory in Barangay Santa Fe, Dasmariñas last March 28.

In an earlier Facebook post, Barzaga highlighted the accumulated P1.1-million reward that had been put up by public officials, including himself, for any information leading to the killer's capture.
