Pasig LGU releases Holy Week traffic scheme

The Pasig City local government released a rerouting scheme for motorists to give way to processions and other Holy Week-related activities on March 31, April 3, 5, 7, and 9 in the city.
Heavy traffic is expected on R. Jabson Street (in Barangays Bambang and Malinao), M. H. Del Pilar Street (in Barangay San Nicolas and Sto. Tomas), E. Angeles and Dr. Pilapil Streets (in Barangay Sagad), Dr. Sixto Antonio Avenue and A. Mabini Street (in Barangay Kapasigan), the Plaza Rizal Intersection, P. Burgos, Lopez Jaena, and Dr. Garcia Streets due to the planned processions.
These roads will be closed, portion by portion, said the local government.

The rerouting scheme will take effect starting at 6 p.m. on March 31, April 3, and 5; 5 a.m., 5 p.m., and 8 p.m. onwards on April 7; and 4 a.m. onwards on April 9.
For motorists going to the Pasig Mega Market from Bagumbayan or San Joaquin, they may either take the Elisco Road, turn left to M. Jimenez Street to cross Kalawaan Bridge, turn right to F. Antonio Street, then left to Balderrama Street; or take R. Jabson Street, turn right to G. Raymundo Street, left to F. Manalo Street, then right to Caruncho Avenue.
Motorists going to the Pasig Mega Market who are coming from Rotonda can take the C. Raymundo Avenue, turn right to Mercedes Avenue, then right again to Market Avenue.
Motorists from Bagumbayan or San Joaquin who are going to Rotonda can take M. Concepcion Street, and turn right either to C-5 Road or to F. Flores Street. If they choose to proceed to F. Flores Street, they must cross Kaunlaran Bridge, then turn left to Lopez Jaena Street, and left again to Sta. Rosa Bridge.
From Pasig Mega Market going to Rotonda, motorists are advised to take Market Avenue, turn left to Mercedes Avenue, then left to C. Raymundo Avenue.
From Pasig Mega Market going to Bagumbayan or San Joaquin, they may take Road 2, turn right to Caruncho Avenue, left to F. Manalo Street, left again to F. Antonio Street, turn right to Pio Alvarez Street, then right to Elisco Road.
For motorists coming from Rotonda going to San Joaquin or Pateros, hey can take the C-5 Road. From C-5, they can choose to either make a u-turn at the Kalayaan Elevated u-turn slot, turn right to San Guillermo Street, then proceed straight to M. Concepcion Street; or turn left to Tom. Flores Street, right to Pvt. Aurellana Street, left to Intalan Street to cross Sta. Rosa Bridge, turn right to Lopez Jaena Street, left to E. Santos Street, then right to R. Jabson Street.
A two-way traffic scheme from Road 2 up to F. Manalo Street will also be implemented at Caruncho Avenue (beside the Pasig Sports Center) on the aforementioned scheduled dates and times.
