The Professional Regulation Commission, on Thursday, March 9, joined the 1st Quarter Nationwide Simultaneous Earthquake Drill.

To signify their support for the measure, PRC instructed all of its personnel and clients to participate.

“[We] actively responded to the call for the implementation of simultaneous earthquake drills and enjoined all [our] personnel and officers, including [our] transacting clients to observe the protocol on Duck, Cover, and Hold during the simulation and afterward, with the evacuation from the building premises,” said PRC in a statement.

With this, the commission assured the public that they will further look into “possible gaps” and enhance their existing emergency plan and contingency protocols.

The drill was spearheaded by the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC). Conducted across the nation quarterly, the measure seeks to educate Filipinos and at the same time increase the nation’s disaster response competency.
