The Las Piñas City government, through the City Health Office (CHO), has rolled out several programs advocating cancer awareness in time for the celebration of National Women’s Month this March.
Mayor Imelda Aguilar said the CHO is offering free Zumba classes to be held on Friday, March 10, that will cater to around 350 women.
Aguilar said the CHO also conducted free breast examinations, chest x-ray and cervical cancer screening for early detection held at the CAA Multipurpose Hall on Wednesday, March 8.
The mayor said the activities form part of the pampering that the city has prepared for every Juana in the city in celebration of National Women’s Month.
Aguilar said the opening ceremony for Women's Month was held at the Verdant covered court in Pamplona 3 led by Vice-Mayor April Aguilar and City Social Welfare and Development (CSWD) officer-in-charge Lowefe Romulo on March 3.
The city government also prepared a wellness program, showcased the Kalipunan ng Liping Pilipina (KALIPI) livelihood products, and gave awards to empowered Juanas.
