BACOLOD CITY – A senior high school student was arrested after alleged marijuana was found in his possession inside a classroom in Manapla, Negros Occidental on Monday, March 6.
The name of the 18-year-old Grade 11 student was withheld.
Police said a teacher was having a class when she noticed some packs of marijuana in the student’s bag.
His bag was slightly open and the illegal drugs were visible, prompting the teacher to call for police assistance.
The school turned over nine packs of suspected marijuana worth P5,000, a wooden pipe, lighter, and P55 to the police.
The student was brought to the Manapla police station.
