BUTUAN CITY – A New People’s Army medical officer and squad leader surrendered to the police in Esperanza, Agusan del Sur on Tuesday, March 7.
Police Regional Office 13 (Caraga or Northeastern Mindanao) Director Brig. Gen. Pablo G. They surrendered a shotgun, a caliber .38 revolver, and bullets.
Labra said their surrender was a result of the relentless efforts of the Caraga police in ending communist insurgency.
“With the concerted efforts of the PNP Caraga, Armed Forces counterparts, and all stakeholders, the number of neutralized members of the CTG continues to increase in this region,” Labra said.
“With the untiring efforts of all agencies involved, their (CPP-NPA) downfall is absolute,” he said.
