Parañaque LGU launches 'Halina Ka-Klase' education program


The Parañaque City government launched a seven-Saturday educational program aimed at teaching children the different issues besetting Philippine society and their impacts to the community.

Mayor Eric Olivarez said the seven-Saturday education program to be called “Halina Ka-Klase” will be offered to students, six to 10 years old, coming from both public and private schools.

Olivarez said the education program is a project of Kabataan ng Barangay San Antonio under the leadership of Sanguniang Kabataa Chairperson Katrin Eco Buot  and Barangay San Antonio Captain Leopoldo “Pol” Casale.

The mayor, who is also a professor, said the city government is fully supporting the “Halina Ka-Klase” education program that will help enlighten children on issues besetting the society.

Olivarez said the participants in the education program will also be given lectures on financial literacy, the importance of taking care of the environment, and others.

He said the program was launched at Everest School on March 4   and was participated in by selected students..

The mayor said the participants were also given some art activities using plastic bottles.
