SOLANA, Cagayan – A priest accused of molesting a minor student here surrendered to the police in Lal-lo, this province, on Thursday, March 2.
A report from the Cagayan Provincial Information Office said Fr. Karole Reward Israel was taken to the Cagayan Provincial Jail (CPJ) in Tuguegarao City by the Lal-lo police after he surrendered.
Cases of acts of lasciviousness, voyeurism, and rape have been filed against the assistant parish priest of Saint Vincent Ferrer Parish in Solana.
Israel was arrested last year after his victim was rescued by the National Bureau of Investigation. He was released after posting a P183,000 bail.
Judge Dennis Mendoza of the Regional Trial Court Branch 4 in Tuguegarao City issued a warrant of arrest for Israel. The court granted no bail for his temporary release.
