Members of Gabriela on Monday afternoon, Feb. 27, trooped in front of SM North EDSA to denounce the administration’s “neglect” and “squandering” amid the suffering of Filipinos, especially the marginalized sectors.

Apart from airing their demands, the activity served as a way for them to encourage the public to join their protests in March.

“With the looming fare hikes along with other incessant increase in prices, the national women's month and the International Working Women's Day will be commemorated while Filipino women bear the brunt of grave economic hardship,” said Gabriela.

The noise barrage held in front of SM North EDSA is part of Gabriela’s series of protests in line with the celebration of National Women’s Month. Aside from protesting, Gabriela is also set to lay down campaigns and discuss pressing issues affecting women on Feb. 28.
