A fisherman went missing after his boat capsized in the sea of Barangay Magsidel in the island of Calayan in Cagayan on Saturday, Feb. 25.
Joe Robert Arirao, kagawad (councilor) of Barangay Magsidel, identified the missing as Willy Dapadap, 45.
Arirao said Dapadap and his companion, Kulit Escalante, went fishing but their boat sunk due to strong wave.
Escalante swam to the shore for one hour to seek help because Dapadap does not know how to swim.
Barangay officials, with the Philippine Coast Guard, conducted a search and rescue operation but has yet to find Dapadap.
