CAMP Olivas, City of San Fernando, Pampanga – Police arrested 422 wanted persons and seized voluminous illegal drugs in a week-long anti-criminality campaign in Central Luzon from Feb. 19 to 25.
One-hundred five wanted persons have standing warrants or arrest, 17 of whom are most wanted for murder, rape, and frustrated murder.
One-hundred fifty-nine were nabbed for illegal drugs, 135 for illegal gambling, and six for violation of special laws.
Three assorted firearms, 456 heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets weighing approximately 501.42 grams of suspected shabu valued at P3,409,668.92; 16 sachets of marijuana weighing 82.37 grams amounting to P9,884.40, and P101,449 in cash bets were confiscated.
The Police Regional Office 3 said the campaign was the result of timely coordination, intelligence-driven operations of different police units, and strong support of local officials as well as those in the private sector in the region.
