MAUBAN, Quezon – A septuagenarian was gunned down in Barangay Baao here on Saturday morning, Feb. 25.
Police identified the victim as Fernando Ibonia Sr., 70, a resident of Barangay Santo Angel here.
Investigation said the victim was standing on the road shoulder when an unidentified man armed with a handgun appeared and shot him once in the head.
Suspect fled on foot while the victim was taken to the Mauban District Hospital where he died.
Police are conducting a thorough investigation.
