Based on paid platform subscription households,  “Jinny’s Kitchen” received 8.792 percent with a peak rating of 11.4 percent nationwide in South Korea to premiere at No. 1

In the metropolitan area (Seoul, Gyeong-gi and Incheon), “Jinny’s Kitchen” is also No. 1 with 10.33 percent with a peak rating of 13.3 percent.

In addition, tvN’s target male and female aged 20 to 49 recorded an average of 4.7 percent in the metropolitan area and 4.6 percent nationwide.

In the first episode, the stars and director Nah Yung Suk gathered for a pre-production meeting where they discussed the positions of the cast. They also discussed BTS’ V, the new member.

Park Seo-jun and Jung Yu-mi trained to cook Korean street food that they will serve at the restaurant located in Bacalar, Mexico. Choi Woo-shik and BTS’ V also trained in preparing ingredients for the food.

After arriving in Mexico, they went to the restaurant to get the feel on how to prepare the Korean street food that will be served to customers.

The cast faced a challenge when it rained on the day of the restaurant’s opening and they were worried if customers would come due to the weather. Their first customers were a group of five people.

Outside Korea, “Jinny’s Kitchen” premiered on Prime Video. Customers of Prime Video in the US, UK, Canada, Australia, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Philippines, Indonesia and Vietnam can watch a new episode of “Jinny’s Kitchen” weekly, every Friday, starting Feb. 24. The show will launch globally in other countries later in spring through Prime Video.
