SAP Lagdameo joins Army reserve force


Special Assistant to the President Antonio Ernesto Lagdameo Jr. officially joined the Philippine Army’s reserve force on Monday, Feb. 20.

The special assistant of President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. received the rank of lieutenant colonel in a commissioning ceremony presided by Lt. Gen. Romeo Brawner Jr., Army commanding general, at the Army Headquarters in Fort Bonifacio, Taguig City.

Brawner cited the role of the Army reservists in nation-building, particularly in saving lives as they are among the first responders during times of calamities.

“With the additional of Lt. Col. Lagdameo and his valuable expertise in politics, legislation, and business, I am sure that now more than ever, the reserve force will achieve greater heights,” Brawner said.

Lagdameo is a former congressman, having served as a representative of the 2nd District of Davao del Norte from 2007 to 2016.

According to Brawner, Lagdameo is also a public servant and his areas of expertise include rural and agricultural development, education, tourism, and sustainable development.

Currently, Lagdameo serves as the presidential assistant to Marcos and is tasked to handle the scheduling activities of the President.
