Ylona Garcia excited on Wanderland stint

Wanderland, the annual outdoor music and arts festival will be returning next month and among performers slated to share their artistry at the two-day event is Filipino-Australian singer Ylona Garcia.

Currently abroad, Ylona expressed excitement about it on Instagram.

She shared: "question of the day: when’s a time you’ve been called to reflect?"

"story time: it’s been almost 4 years since the last time i performed back home. i was blessed with the opportunity to do so last year but my performance was cancelled due to the weather and i knew it was a sign. i felt in my heart that He was calling me to reflect and do some inner work to share a new side of me with you all."

According to her, the last two years of her life have been a "rocky road of unlearning and learning" as both an artist and a soon to be 21 year old.

"From the way i live, the way i see the world, my values, dreams and so much more," she related.

Then Ylona declared: "i’m so excited to share a little taste of everything i’ve learned with everyone. thank you for giving me an opportunity to do what I love to do, @wanderlandfest . see you soon !!"

The young artist rose to prominence after joining as housemate in a special season of ABS-CBN's reality show "Pinoy Big Brother" in 2015.

In 2020, Ylona went viral making good use of her free time amid the ongoing pandemic.

She went back home to her family in Sydney, Australia soon after, keeping busy working for a fast food chain in the suburb of Bonnyrigg.

Then the following year, Ylona joined American music collective 88Rising.
