Justice Secretary Jesus Crispin Remulla was firm in declaring that the Philippines will not bow down to the political agenda of the International Criminal Court (ICC) in pursuing its investigation into the anti-illegal drug war in the country.
The feisty official disclosed his position that he will not oppose any bid by jailed former senator Leila de Lima to petition the court for her release.
Meanwhile, rescuers are trying to reach the wreckage of a Cessna plane that crashed in the slopes of Mayon Volcano. They will also try to determine the fate of the pilot, co-pilot, and two Australian passengers who were not spotted at the crash site.
