RAHA Volunteers Fire Department/MANILA BULLETIN

The Bureau of Fire and Protection (BFP) identified the injured individuals as Adrian Mark Torres, 18, a resident in the area, and Andrie Caser, 23, a responding firefighter of Fire Volunteer Trinity Tanker.

Torres sustained a minor burn on his forehead, and Caser had wounds on the right side of his neck. They were immediately given first aid.

BFP said the fire was raised to first alarm at 9:09 p.m. on Saturday evening.

It escalated to the second alarm at 9:38 p.m. and reached the third alarm at 10:10 p.m.

The firefighters said the houses were built of plywood, lumber, and other light materials, which made the fire spread quickly. They added that the strong winds also helped the spread of the flames. The fire was controlled at 11:20 p.m. and extinguished at 12:41 a.m. on Sunday, Feb. 19.

Meanwhile, QC Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) recorded at least 310 families or 1,323 individuals affected as of 11:22 a.m. on Sunday. They already were given hot meals, grocery packs and modular tents.

The affected residents temporarily shelter at the evacuation center at Diosdado Macapagal Elementary School, QC.

Authorities are still investigating the cause of the fire.
