Dianne Medina defends self from bashers

Dianne Medina was schooled by some netizens after mispronouncing a certain word while delivering entertainment news on PTV4's "Rise and Shine Pilipinas."

Apparently, Dianne pronounced “subunit” as “suboonit.”

Many netizens insist she could have avoided the mistake if she did her homework prior.

The following day, Dianne used the correct pronunciation.

She shared the video of the said report on Instagram.

"Rise and Shine Pilipinas PTV 4. Japanese line ng Kpop girl group na Twice, magde- debut sa Japan bilang SUB-UNIT! #ShowbizNews #Talkbiz," her caption read.

An online user was not happy, correcting Dianne for putting a hyphen on the word.

"SUBUNIT naman kasi ang correct word hindi sub-unit," said the netizen.

Dianne explained her side, replying: "yes pero kasi since wala akong alam sa kpop mas ok sana kung nalagyan ng space so na guide ako. na assume ko kasi na japanese word. although dapat rin as a host nagsearch ako and didnt rely sa prompter anyway at least i know my lesson now."
