APARRI, Cagayan – A former government employee was arrested in a buy-bust operation in Barangay Maura here on Wednesday morning, Feb. 15.
The Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) Region 2 (Cagayan Valley) identified the suspect as Bernardo Alicias Jr., alias "Berns," 37.
Alicias was arrested after selling one heat-sealed transparent plastic sachet containing suspected shabu weighing .5 grams to a PDEA poseur-buyer.
He yielded a heat-sealed transparent plastic sachet containing suspected shabu weighing one gram with an estimated street value of P6,800, the buy-bust money, one keypad cellphone, and P985 cash.
The suspect and pieces of evidence were brought to the Aparri police station for proper disposition.
