DOH confirms 223 new cases of Covid-19

A total of 223 more people were confirmed to have been infected with the virus that causes Covid-19, the Department of Health (DOH) reported on Sunday, Feb. 12.

Based on the DOH Covid-19 tracker, there are 9,177 patients who are still receiving treatment or undergoing isolation nationwide.

Metro Manila posted the most number of new cases in the last two weeks with 516.

It was followed by Calabarzon with 224, Davao Region with 148, Western Visayas with 102, and Central Luzon with 83.

The country's hospital bed occupancy is at 17.8 percent with 4,513 occupied and 20,827 vacant beds as of Feb. 10, the DOH said.

Since 2020, the DOH already reported a total of 4,074,691 confirmed cases of Covid-19, of which, 3,999,565 were tagged as recoveries while 65,949 were deaths.
