Under the rule, MPL PH teams can elevate players from their MDL teams once per week which they can utilize every Monday by submitting transfer requests starting Feb. 20.

The rule also states that a player may only be transferred once for the entire season, which means that the player that has been transferred to another league may not go back to their league of origin once the transfer is finalized.

This will allow some notable players playing in the MDL to get a chance to be called up to their mother teams in the middle of the season.

Among those are the M3 Worlds Championship Most Valuable Player Kiel “Oheb” Soriano, Sibol gold medalists Lee “Owl” Gonzales and Kyle “Dominic” Soto of Blacklist Academy, veterans Jaypee “Jaypee” Dela Cruz and Kurt “Kurtzy” Matira of the ECHO Proud, and Ralph “Rapidoot” Adrales of Onic Arsenals.

Other former MPL PH players Kiel “Kielvj” Hernandez and Michael “MP the King” Endino of Omega Neos, Clarense “Kousei” Camilo and  Patrick “rtzy” Ibarra of RSG Ignite and top amateur players of Euphoria Esports can also benefit to the new ruling.

However,  franchise teams may only transfer from their MDL team to their MPL team up to three times per season while the MPL to MDL transfers are unlimited per season provided the roster minimum and maximum are followed. Teams may not go below the player minimum (five starters and one substitute) and may not go beyond the maximum (five starters and five substitutes).
