A man was arrested after he yielded a total of P7,140,000 worth of alleged shabu in a buy-bust operation in Quezon City on Monday, Feb. 6.
The Quezon City Police District (QCPD) identified the suspect as Ian Torres, 37, of Brgy. Nagkaisang Nayon, Novaliches, Quezon City.
The QCPD District Drug Enforcement Unit (DDEU) said Torres was listed as the second drug priority target in the district.
According to the police report, the suspect was arrested in an entrapment operation conducted by joint operatives of QCPD DDEU and QCPD Masambong Police Station (PS 2) at restaurant on FPJ Ave. in Brgy., Katipunan, Quezon City around 8:50 p.m. on Monday.
Police recovered 1.05 kilograms of shabu, a cellular phone, and the buy-bust money.
The suspect will face charges for violation of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, police said.
