DILG lauds anti-drug abuse efforts of Las Piñas

The Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) lauded the Las Piñas City’s continuous programs that complement the national campaign against illegal drugs.

The DILG conferred the city government with a certificate of recognition for attaining a high functional score in the 2021 Anti-Drug Abuse Council (ADAC) performance audit.

Mayor Imelda Aguilar said the city got a total of 85 points in the performance audit.

The DILG and the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) also informed the city government that Barangays Pamplona I, Pulanglupa II and Talon III were declared drug-cleared villages, according to the mayor.

Aguilar said clearing the villages of illegal drugs is part of the state policy to safeguard its citizenry from the ill effects of prohibited drugs and substances.
