Parañaque LGU distributes cash cards to 100 beneficiaries

The Parañaque city government distributed Pangkabuhayan sa Pagbangon at Ginhawa (PPG) cash cards to help small business owners who have been badly affected by the Covid-19 pandemic.

Mayor Eric Olivarez led the distribution of PPG cash cards to 100 beneficiaries from the city’s 16 barangays on Tuesday, Jan. 31, at the Gallery Hall of Legislative Building of Parañaque City Hall.

According to Olivarez, the PPG project of the city government and the Parañaque Livelihood and Resource Management (PLRM) was launched in coordination with the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI).

The mayor said the beneficiaries were given with P10,000 each as additional capital to their businesses.

Olivarez said around 50 or half of the beneficiaries are graduates of training courses offered by PLRM.

“Ang matatanggap na cash cards ng mga benepisyaryo ay makakatulong para sa kanilang micro enterprise business para mas maging progresibo at lumago ang mga ito,” (The cash card received by the beneficiaries can help their small enterprises grow more),” Olivarez said.

He said the city government is also planning to build a four-story Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) Assessment Learning Center near the Parañaque City College.

The mayor said the TESDA Assessment and Learning Center will offer training courses that every resident can avail.
