The body of the victim, Mark Lagleva, 39, a resident of Barangay Concordia, Bolinao, Pangasinan, was found floating on a river in Barangay Linoc, Binmaley, Pangasinan, on Thursday morning, Jan. 26. Lagleva sustained multiple stab wounds.

Police have yet to determine if there are other suspects.

The PSU community condemned the murder of Lagleva. "Certainly, this heinous act has no place in a civilized society and more so in an academic community. A man of competence, character, and positivity, Prof. Lagleva’s death is a great loss to the campus and to the university,” the PSU said.
