Pasay City LGU issues advisory on road closures for Sto. Niño procession


The Pasay City government will implement road closures for the procession of Sto. Niño on Sunday, Jan. 29.

Mayor Emi Calixto-Rubiano said motorist who will be passing F.B. Harrison St. from Buendia up to EDSA and Arnaiz Avenue from Roxas Bouevard will be closed temporarily from 11:00 a.m. until the Sto. Niño procession is finished.

Rubiano said the procession will start at Pasay City Hall at 3:00 p.m. and will pass F.B. Harrison and turn right to EDSA going Roxas Boulevard, turn left to Buendia on way to Liwasang Ipil-ipil in Pasay City.

The mayor said the image of Sto. Niño was brought to Pasay City Hall on Jan. 15, where it stayed for three days. It was transferred to the Pasay City Astrodome where a Holy Mass and a novena were officiated by Bishop Leopoldo C. Jaucian of the Diocese of Bangued.

Rubiano said over 100 Sto. Niño titles were displayed at the Pasay City Astrodome on Jan. 19 which was opened to the public from 1:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
