DOLE R1 remains forging stronger ties with LGUs on labor, employment

SAN FERNANDO CITY, La Union -- Fully cognizant of the power of local government unit (LGU) in effective implementation of key programs of the national government, the Department of Labor and Employment Regional Office 1 (DOLE RO1) remains steadfast in building collaborative ties with the LGUs in the region.

This developed as the DOLE RO1 led by Regional Director Exequiel Ronie A. Guzman met with League of Municipalities of the Philippines (LMP) Pangasinan Chapter on Monday in Lingayen, Pangasinan.

Upon the invitation of LMP-Pangasinan President and Lingayen Mayor Leopoldo N. Bataoil, Regional Director Guzman graced the LMP chapter’s first general assembly for 2023.

DOLE RO1 presented its employment facilitation services and provided information on the labor market.

Guzman expressed his deepest gratitude to the local chief executives of the largest province in the region, for their strong support in the implementation of key programs such as the TUPAD.

“We would not have accomplished so much without the kind assistance and accommodation of these hardworking mayors,” Guzman said.

He also thanked the Provincial Government of Pangasinan, through Governor Ramon Guico III, who also graced the meeting.

“For 2023, we anticipate innovations and enhancements on our program implementation, and our partnerships with LGUs shall be key to fully realize this,” RD Guzman said. “Hence, the LMP shall be a strategic venue for us to reach out to you all – our dearest leaders and decision-makers in the communities.”

DOLE RO1 is also set to meet with the LMP Chapters in La Union, Ilocos Sur and Ilocos Norte.
