The Muntinlupa City government has granted a total of P1.42 million in interest-free loans to 96 entrepreneurs.
Owners of micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) in the city got the latest fund disbursement through the city government’s “Dagdag Puhunan” initiative under the Joint Resources Financing Program (JRFP).
Mayor Ruffy Biazon, together with JRFP head Maylene Viñas, personally handed out the loans to the entrepreneurs.
“This is a big boost to our Muntipreneurs so they can achieve the full potential of their business. As part of our 7K Agenda to revive and grow the local economy, we have chosen to continue this best practice of former mayor, now Congressman Jimmy Fresnedi because of its enormous benefit to Muntinlupeños," said Biazon.
The Dagdag Puhunan became the first kind among local government programs because of its interest-free capital lending system, which mainly benefits MSMEs.
Lately the city government has increased its support for the grassroots economy, which has been a boon especially during the height of the pandemic when most major industries were shuttered.
In order to encourage more MSMEs to avail of capital loans, the JRFP has further simplified the application process, submitting requirements digitally via an active email address and using Google Forms that are accessible via desktop computer or mobile devices.
Interested applicants may contact the JRFP via its official Facebook page or call their 2nd Floor, Plaza Central, Barangay Poblacion office at 8772-3457.
