Renejay plays stand-in for Blacklist in Sibol qualifiers, joins hands with Oheb, Edward, Hadji

Former Nexplay Evos star Renejay “RENEJAY” Barcase is set to play under the Blacklist International banner as a stand-in for the Sibol national team qualifiers and join the MVP trio of Edward “Edward” Dapadap, Salic “Hadji” Imam and Kiel “Oheb” Soriano.

The four will join amateur standout Ian Jakob "Rindo" Seguiran for the second phase of the Sibol qualifiers where the M4 World Championship runners-up got a direct invite alongside ECHO, and representatives of the Collegiate Center for Esports and Real Me Cup.

“Our team for the upcoming SEA Games MLBB qualifiers will include our very own MV3—Edward, Oheb, and Hadji, joined by Renejay "Renejay" Barcarse and Ian Jakob "Rindo" Seguiran,” Blacklist said in its announcement on Friday, Jan. 20.

However, Blacklist head coach Kristoffer “Bon Chan” Ricaplaza clarified to Manila Bulletin that Renejay will only be playing as a stand-in. The MVP trio’s inclusion to the Sibol roster does not also mean that Hadji, Oheb and Edward are sitting out the MPL Philippine Season 11.

According to Bon Chan, the three are still undecided whether to play for MPL or sit out the season similar to what Jonmar “OhmyV33nus” Villaluna and Danerie “Wise” Del Rosario did back in Season 9 where they decided to take a one-season hiatus.

“Wala pa silang final decision sa S11, ang gusto lang nila sa ngayon SEA Games,” said Bon Chan in a message. As for Renejay, “Stand-in lang for Sibol quali,” he added.

Whether Renejay will see action for Blacklist in the MPL is still up in the air although the popular player had already bid goodbye to his team Nexplay Evos

Tier One Entertainment top honcho Tryke Gutierrez earlier revealed that the Blacklist management talked to each player and gave them the option to rest or compete in MPL PH S11 and SEA Games qualifier.

Looking to avenge the stunning loss for Blacklist in M4, the V33Wise tandem committed to play for Blacklist for the MPL PH S9.

“For the upcoming MPL PH Season 11, our superstar duo of Johnmar "Ohmyv33nus" Villaluna and Danerie James "Wise" del Rosario have confirmed their decision to play under Blacklist International,” said in the post.

“Please stay tuned for the announcement of our full roster for the upcoming season. Our redemption story starts today. We know you’ve got our backs, agents. In the words of our captain, "This still is not the last of us,” the announcement added.
