The Las Piñas city government distributed school supplies to around 800 disadvantaged youths on Tuesday, Jan. 17.

According to Mayor Imelda Aguilar, the distribution of school supplies was held at Mayor Nene Aguilar Disaster Risk and Reduction Management Office (DRRMO) building located at BF Resort Village, Talon II.

Aguilar said Vice Mayor April Aguilar led the distribution in cooperation with the Social Welfare and Development Office (CSWDO) and the Pag-Asa Youth Association of the Philippines (PYAP)-Las Piñas Chapter.

She said the CSWDO also conducted supplementary activities such as parents effectiveness service, general assemblies, and parent-teacher dialogues.

The mayor said the activity was part of her administration’s priority program for the disadvantaged youth.

Aguilar added that as a mother, she wants all the Las Piñeros get the needed services from the city government.
