1,600 kindergarten pupils receive school kits in Malabon


The Malabon City government on Thursday, Jan. 19, has distributed school kits to 1,600 kindergarten pupils in the city.

According to the city government, the distribution started on Tuesday, Jan. 17, where the pupils from six schools were given the kits containing a bag, spoon and fork, containers for food and water, a pair of socks, and an umbrella. The distribution will be held until February.

The beneficiaries who already received the kits were from the Catmon Elementary School, Imelda Elementary School, Niugan Elementary School, Potrero Elementary School, Maysilo Elementary School, and Panghulo Elementary School.

The city government said the school kits for the kindergarten pupils were part of its programs for education in partnership with the Department of Education.

“Makakaaasa kayo at ang inyong mga magulang na lalo pa naming pagsisikapan na makapagbigay ng mas dekalidad na edukasyon (You and your parents can hope that we will work even harder to provide better quality education),” Malabon City Mayor Jeannie Sandoval said in a Facebook post.
