PH jins brace for busy 2023 schedule

The Philippine Taekwondo Association holds its General Assembly.

The Philippine Taekwondo Association (PTA) conducted its annual national General Assembly on Jan. 8 at the Rizal Memorial Coliseum in preparation for major tournaments this year.

Around 500 national instructors, heads of regional committees, and members of the Philippine National Police (PNP) Taekwondo and the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) Taekwondo attended the general assembly.

Like other NSAs, the PTA is hell-bent on boosting its national and regional development programs in the hope of getting positive results.

PTA is looking to assemble formidable squads for major international competitions, such as the SEA Games in Cambodia, World Championships in Baku Azerbaijan, Asian Games in Hangzhou, China, and Indoor Martial Arts Games (AIMAG) in Bangkok, Thailand.

It is also preparing for the hosting of the ATF (Asean Taekwondo Federation) Taekwondo Championships scheduled on March 11-12, 2023 at the Ayala Malls, Manila Bay, Paranaque City.
