Guanzon dares Alex Gonzaga: Attend Dinagsa festival, be 'smudged'

Paint, anyone?

P3PWD Party-list nominee Rowena Guanzon could not help but take a swipe at TV host and vlogger Alex Gonzaga-Morada for her now-deleted but viral birthday party video where she was seen smearing icing on a waiter’s face.

The feisty ex-commissioner of the Commission on Elections (Comelec) invited the celebrity vlogger to her hometown of Cadiz City, Negros Occidental, where the Dinagsa Festival will happen on Sunday, Jan. 29.

“Alex Gonzaga you are invited to my home city Cadiz fiesta, LAMHITANAY. Legal dito ang mag lagay ng pintura sa mukha ng iba (It is legal hear to smear paint on the face of others),” Guanzon wrote on Twitter.

“Dali na di kay sadya di dai. Tapat ka gid sa akon. (lagot ka),” she added, noting that Gonzaga would answer to her.

“Join ka na (Join us) Alex Gonzaga, Lamhitanay sa (in) Cadiz! Eto (Here is the! preview pic. For (yo)u we have special extra paint. Hinding (Not) icing on the cake,” the former commissioner stressed on another post, accompanied with hashtags #bastos and #matapobre.

She used the hashtags that mean “rude” and “looks down on the poor” to end her post.

The Lamhitanay, dubbed as “smudge,” is the culmination of the festival where people smudge each other’s faces with latex paint in different colors.

Gonzaga, who is married to Lipa City Councilor Mikee Morada, came under fire after a video showed her smearing icing on a waiter’s face during her birthday celebration with vloggers and celebrities in attendance.

Netizens slammed Gonzaga for her behavior, noting that the waiter was probably a minimum wage earner who did not deserve to be ridiculed.

This triggered several other production staff and co-artists to call out the vlogger and TV host for numerous other incidents, including her tardiness and leaving out her co-actors in scenes before the director can exclaim “cut.”

However, a friend of the Gonzagas said the waiter is actually a friend of the family and is used to joking around with the vlogger.
