DPWH completes farm-to-market road in Cagayan

The newly-completed farm-to-market road in Enrile, Cagayan has provided local farmers with greater access to the region’s major trading centers, the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) said on Wednesday, Jan. 18.

DPWH Secretary Manuel Bonoan explained that construction of “the new 1.46-kilometer concrete road with three-barrel box culvert as drainage in Barangay Liwan Sur’’ will provide faster and safer route for the local farmers to transport their produce and farm goods to the market centers even in the nearby municipalities of Solana and Tuguegarao City, Cagayan province.

The P11.8 million road project was implemented by the DPWH Cagayan Third District Engineering Office under the supervision of officer-in-charge (OIC) District Engineer Mariano B. Malupeng.
