BTS’ Jin attends completion ceremony as he finishes basic military training 


K-pop idol group BTS’ Jin has finished his basic military training.

On Jan. 18, Jin, the first member of BTS to enlist in the military, attended the completion ceremony of his basic military training at the 5th Infantry Division recruit training center in Yeoncheon, Gyeonggi province.

Jin enlisted in the Korean military on Dec. 13 and underwent five weeks of basic military training.

Videos of Jin at the completion ceremony were uploaded on social media.

In one video, Jin and other recruits are seen throwing their military caps in the air as the ceremony ends.

On the Weverse app, Jin posted photos of himself in military uniform.

“I'm enjoying my life. ARMY, be happy and take care,” he wrote, adding that he go permission from the military to post the photos.

Before the completion ceremony, it was announced that Jin was assigned as a teaching assistant at the 5th Infantry Division recruit training center.

This will be his own unit until he is discharged from the Army on June 12, 2024.

Previously, Korean pop star and actor Rain, 2PM member Chan-sung and actor Lee Jang-woo were assigned as teaching assistant at the 5th Infantry Division recruit training center.
