Another ‘salvage’ victim found in Quezon

The body of another suspected “salvage” or summary execution victim was found in the province of Quezon on Tuesday, Jan. 17.

Police said the male victim was found by passers-by on the bypass road in Barangay Lakawan in Tayabas City at around 9 a.m.

He was 5’5” and wearing a black T-shirt and gray and white short pants. His head, shoulder, and legs were wrapped with packaging tape.

Two hours earlier at 6:45 a.m., the body of a suspected salvage victim was found in Sariaya.

Police described the victim as between 40- to 45-years-old, wearing a T-shirt with the word Santa Cruz, black jogger pants, black Lakers ball cap, and black sandals and had a “Sputnik” tattoo on his right arm. The victim sustained multiple bullet wounds.

Police have alerted other police stations to determine the identity of the victims.
