Valenzuela public safety officers receive 80 helmets

Members of the Valenzuela City Public Order and Safety Office (POSO) received on Monday, Jan. 16, 80 helmets that they can use while performing their duties on the city’s roads.

The protective headgears were from EVO Helmets Philippines and NHK Revton Corp, Philippine and were distributed to the POSO personnel through the city government.

The local government said the pledged motorcycle gears were allocated according to the quantity and needs of the staff of the POSO’s four units: 62 helmets for the Traffic Management Division, eight for Sidewalk Clearing Operations Group, seven for Anti-Squatting Task Force, and three for members of the Task Force Disiplina.

It added that the helmets will help in guaranteeing the safety of emergency responders and law enforcement officers in the city as they work in the frontlines dealing with the dangers of the road.

EVO Philippines and NHK Revton Corporation Philippines are both brands of motorcycle helmets that aim to provide quality headgears for the motorists in the country.

They donated the helmets to the POSO personnel as a token of gratitude for their efforts and sacrifices in maintaining the public order and safety in the city, the local government said.

In December 2022, both brands also donated 80 helmets to the city government.

Valenzuela City Mayor Weslie “Wes” Gatchalian personnally handed over the gears to the POSO along with Vice Mayor Lorie Natividad-Borja, City Councilors Marlon Alejandro, Chiqui Carreon, Niña Lopez, Louie Nolasco, Ricar Enriquez, Mickey Pineda, Goyong Serrano, and Jonjon Bartolome, POSO head Mr. Jose Valenzuela, and City External Services executives.
